Advertising and sponsorship disclosure

Free HVAC Calculators is free to use. It may be funded by display advertising and by sponsored product placements. This page explains both.

Sponsored products

• A sponsored product is a paid placement. It is always labelled “Sponsored”, with the brand name, in the placement itself.
• Sponsors pay to be shown; they do not pay for, write or approve our calculations, defaults, recommendations or explanations.
• Product details shown in a placement are supplied by the sponsor and reviewed by us before publication. We do not add endorsements, rankings or claims we cannot verify.
• Links to sponsors carry the rel="sponsored" attribute, as search engines ask for paid links. We do not sell links intended to influence search rankings.
• When you click a sponsored link, we count the click (which product, on which page, and when) so we can report totals to the sponsor. We do not send the sponsor your personal information or the values you entered in a calculator.
• Placements appear below results or between sections — never among a calculator’s inputs.

Display advertising

If display advertising is enabled, ads are served by Google AdSense, labelled “Advertisement”, and placed away from calculator inputs and results. Advertising partners may use cookies; the privacy policy explains how and how to opt out.
